About our Principal
Jennifer Back R.A.D.R.T.S

 

Jennifer is a fully registered and qualified teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and has been a well respected teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator for over 40 years.

Jennifer began her training as a student of Tessa Maunder O.A.M in Newcastle N.S.W. ; a world renowned teacher having trained dancers and teachers of national and international recognition.

Under Miss Maunders guidance she established herself as a teacher in 1981.

Some of Jennifers former students have been accepted into some of Australias most prestigious full time dance programs and companies and pursued careers in dance both in Australia and abroad ; while others have happily enjoyed their dance training experience at a recreational level within the school for many years.

​

In 2020 she received the accolade of being the first dancer to complete all levels of the Academys' new Repertoire program with Distinction at 55 years of age. 

​

Having recently permanently moved to Tasmania she now looks forward to sharing a lifetime of knowledge and her passion for the art of ballet with students around Launceston in unique purpose built studio facilities in the picturesque foothills of White Hills just minutes from the Launceston cbd.
